Mune Tran
Specialty: Long Hair, Natural Highlighting, Men's Haircuts
Mune is educated in Goldwell and Wella color lines and specializes in long hair, feminine cuts, fresh and natural tone on tone coloring, in addition to men’s grooming.
She had worked in the hair industry for over four years, while studying Art, Photography and English in Pennsylvania. After graduating college and studying at Bumble & Bumble in NYC, she decided to make New York her home and follow her dreams of working behind the scenes for magazines, television and fashion shows. Mune quickly landed a postion at the Rita Hazan Salon where she learned from famed stylists such as Kevin Mancuso, Eddie Ngai, Juan Carlos Maciques, Eugene Toye and Nelson Vercher. While working with Rita’s team, Mune flew to Chicago for Oprah’s “Great American Haircut” episode that transformed an entire audience of 100 individuals.
Mune later transitioned into becoming a freelance artist to work editorial shoots, television and seasonal look books for high end retail lines. With an artistic vision and impeccable attention to detail, Mune constantly stays current with techniques and hair trends by working each season of New York Fashion Week since 2006. She is also the lead hairstylist for Cutdrop.com, an online retail store that features new items each week to benefit different charities. Mune’s work can be seen in Ingrid Michaelson’s music video “Everybody,” Sia’s music video “Clap Your Hands,” Lifetime Television’s “Cook Yourself Thin,” and Bravo’s “Make Me a Supermodel.”
