Go green and stylize it!

Ever wonder how you can get a ready for a black tie event the green way?

It's all about organic. I can't even start to describe how difficult it's been to find amazing eco friendly, natural, vegan or organic products but I feel like maybe we've started to discover some amazing lines. I love using a product where I can actually understand all the ingredients listed or at least be able to google the ingredient and find an explanation that doesn't make me scratch my head.

But how do you really get ready for a Black Tie event the eco-friendly way? I was very lucky to get that answer when I met Alden Wicker from Clean Hippie. Alden came into Bloom for the first time after she purchased our "Night Out On The Town" package which includes a blowout and makeup application. Alden's event required her to have her hair up so we quickly changed paths and decided to go with something loose, and romantic.

From Alden's dress, jewelry, nails to makeup it was one great lesson to being green. Whenever I'm styling an updo I always use Davines, an eco-friendly product line. Besides producing all their product bottles out of recycled plastic they also use nourishing natural ingredients of the highest quality. They even created an amazing 100% organic and paraben-free haircare line called Authentic. I love Davines and so does the environment!

RMS is my favorite makeup line and yes it's 100% organic, paraben free and get this.... it's aqua free! That means your makeup has zero chance of spreading and growing bacteria. Plus the makeup makes you feel and look so naturally beautiful while saving our glaciers ;)

How to get the look: I  used rapture on her lips (brown based red) and cheeks for the perfect sultry look. Alden naturally glowed but I intensified it with a few dots of living luminizer (my favorite highlighter) around her eyes and high cheekbones. I finished her skin with un-cover up in shade 22 and used a translucent powder to keep the foundation on her skin longer.
