Cheers to our One Year anniversary with celebrity chef Candice Kumai!

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since we opened Bloom! I feel like just yesterday we were wallpapering the foyer at 3am. I’m so excited about our growth in the last year and I feel so thankful for all our wonderful Bloomers! Without them this wouldn’t be possible! So to commemorate our one year anniversary we invited celebrity chef Candice Kumai for the release of her first cookbook and to celebrate with our clients and say, “thank you”. Candice catered the event, with her amazing staff, and made the night a clear success. By 7pm the line stretched all the way to 6th Avenue!!! We had over 450 guests over the course of 3 hours, a beautiful book on display, sweet Veev pomegranate mimosas, and the most talked about sliders on the planet!

Candice Kumai is a former Top Chef standout and co-host of Lifetime’s “Cook Yourself Thin.” She’s released a new cookbook on Feb 1st called “Pretty Delicious” and in my opinion, if you love to cook you have to have this book! The book is filled with decadent recipes that make your mouth water but keep that waist thin! I was lucky enough to get a preview copy and have been cooking the recipes with my husband at home for about a month now. I have to say, Candice’s take on oatmeal made my taste buds, which normally prefer ice cream, go crazy for her yogurt and honey infused recipe! She makes treats like pancakes, peanut butter-crunch cups, muffins and fish tacos healthy and tasty. Kinda crazy but it’s so true! This is the perfect Valentines day present!

Candice Kumai's Pretty Delicious Book CoverBloom has stocked up on Candice’s book, which in her own words is, “the most stylish cookbook ever” and I have to agree!! If you’d like to own a copy of Candice’s book you can get it right here on our web store. We are also offering the book for $25, five dollars less then the retail value! So enjoy your new cookbook and start cooking!

XOXO, Clarissa
